My 10 predictions for 2010
I decided to have a little fun and make some predictions. So here are my 10 predictions for Michigan football in the year 2010. It's gonna be a better year folks.
1. Rich Rodriguez - will have his first winning record at Michigan. The Wolverines will finish 7-5 in the regular season.
2. .500 - Michigan's football team will finally start winning in the Big Ten and finish .500 at 4-4.
3. Secondary - After hiring a new safeties coach, Michigan's secondary will go through some rough stretches but all the new talent coming in with shore things up and the secondary will improve.
4. 700 yards - Michigan will not have a 1,000 rusher, but two 700 yard rushers. Michael Shaw and Vincent Smith will act as a great duo and rush for 700 each.
5. Tate! - Tate Forcier will improve on his zone reads and passing and help lead Michigan to a solid record and a berth in a bowl game.
6. Devin Gardner - Forcier will win the quarterback job, but Gardner's immense talent will shine through, as he eventually sees playing time near the end of the season. Including an upset of Iowa after Forcier is injured.
7. Van Bergen - Ryan Van Bergen, now taking over Brandon Graham's old position, will amass nearly 10 sacks and over 15 TFL's.
8. Slots- The slot receivers will be one of the strongest positions on the team, as Odoms and Roundtree excel in the passing game, and Jeremy Gallon proves to be an electric return man.
9. Outside Receivers - Daryll Stonum finally becomes all he's billed to be and catches deep touchdown after deep touchdown. Ricardo Miller and Jerald Robinson step up huge as freshman.
10. Tenacity - The offensive line stays pretty healthy all year and churns out one of the nation's top offenses. Teams don't want to play these bad boys.
Now I know not all of these are possible, or even likely, but you can dream! Here's to a bowl-filled, happy 2010 football season. See ya in the spring!
